About
I did not grow up in a Christian home. I was dabbling in drugs and alcohol at the age most kids learn algebra, dropped out of high school shortly after starting it, and nosedived into the world before I ever learned what a consequence was. I am convinced joining the Army is the only reason I ended up on the straight and narrow (ish) and free of felony.
Regarding Christ I was a skeptic at best, with a habit of picking apart the faith of others. Even later, when the ‘wisdom’ of age had settled the sentiment into a sort of simmering disdain, I’d just resolved to live and let live – with a lot of quiet judgment. I was accountable only to myself, convinced of my own decency, and drowning in sin.
When I was 34, a conversation on a park bench and a few well-written books changed my life, setting me on a journey that ultimately led to Jesus. It took a while, but I’m here now and determined to equip the faithful with a strong defense against the old me. I think we can do that by building a firm foundation of answers; rock-solid reasons for the hope that is in us. So equipped, we might even trade doubt for belief and make warriors of skeptics.
The Mission
Wield critical thought, sound reasoning and the God-breathed truth of Scripture to equip the faithful, answer the skeptical, and connect as many as possible with the finished work of Jesus Christ.
